Nuclear Decommission Fund Fee

The Nuclear Decommission Fund Fee is a fee to cover the costs of safely dismantling a nuclear generation facility and reducing any remaining radioactivity to a level that allows unrestricted use of the property and termination of its license. This fee can only be assessed by the local wires company or transmission and distribution utility for companies using their infrastructure to deliver electricity to consumers.
